I'm getting the train to arrive at about 1 to show the kids around Liverpool before going to the game as one side of my family are from up there.
Obviously every one of them left in the 60s to move down south, thank God.

My boy dan started running this week, its going to be a long road back,but hes got agood heart and this will drive him on before the break he was doing well 3 years in a row ryman south gk of the year,got man of the match in brazil,kept a clean sheet for 78 mins, got done by 2 own goals 30k watching.

Believe it or not I was once optimistic like you but I was also 30 - 40 years younger.
Don't let West Ham grind you down like it did most of the rest of us. I suppose unlike us you have never really witnessed us winning anything so from that point of view your expectations are perhaps lower?
Then again, my expectations now are just for a team that can hold its own in the Premiership even if that team and club is just a shadow of what it once was ( thx to Messrs Sullivan and Gold ).
